Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 127 of Gambrills, Maryland. Pack 127 is an active group of over 75 boys and girls engaged in a quality year-round Scouting program. St. Joseph Odenton Catholic Church is our Charter Organization. Our enthusiastic parent volunteers help Scouts achieve their goals through a variety of activities; Den Activities : arts & crafts, games, hikes, outings, rockets, rock climbing, ecology, knots, whittling, & more .... Pack Activities : Pinewood Derby, Hay Rides, Spring & Fall Camping, Service Projects, Camp Fires, Raingutter Regatta, & more ... District Activities : Summer Day Camp (BBs, archery, fishing, crafts, games, etc.), Scouting Olympics, Highland Games, Discounts, & more ... Council Activities : Summer Resident Camp at Broadcreek Memorial Scout Reservation Pack 127 meets most Tuesdays at 7:00 PM at the School of the Incarnation, 2601 Symphony Lane, Gambrills, Maryland. Our meetings usually run one hour. The pack is in the Four Rivers District of the Baltimore Area Council. 1) We are about creating fun for the Scouts that builds character, develops camaraderie, expands their horizons, and fosters achievement! 2) We are an all-volunteer organization dependent upon your parental participation and willingness to give a little of your time. 3) Healthy packs grow, and we are always recruiting new Scouts. This week is a Virtual Pack meeting, please use the Zoom invite posted to the announce list or Pack website calendar. Don't forget about our Virtual Cake content! Pictures are due Friday 3/19. Sunday 3/21 is AOL Bridging to Scouts BSA from 1-3PM. Scouting for food starts April 13th with door hangar distribution. Pickup on 4/24. Please plan to attend both events , especially with pickup we need your help to sort and move all the food to the food bank. This week we continue to prepare our AOL's for transitioning to Scouts BSA. Please let your Den leader or a Cubmaster which Troop your scout will be going! Christine Williams will be the Day Camp registrar for Pack 127 this year. Be on the lookout for more info regarding Day Camp. Thank you Christine! Schedule next few weeks: 2/20 - Pack 127 Klondike Derby Outdoors at St. Joes Youth Center. All AOL and Webelos should come! Please sign up on the pack web site so we have a head count. 3/7 - Annual Catholic Scout Mass 3/13 - University of Scouting (Virtual Learning for Adults) 3/21 - AOL Transition Ceremony to Scouts BSA. Please check the schedule after March for all other Ranks we still have the following events scheduled Scouting For Food Spring Campout at BroadCreek Rocket Derby (during campout this year!) Pack 127 Week of 2/7 Posted on Feb 7 2021 - 7:17am Pack Message: Last week: - Pinewood Derby went off very well. I am pleased and thankful we were able to hold the event this year and had space to do it at the youth center. With separate build and race days we saw a lot of creativity in those cars! I cant wait to see pics of non-racing "creative build" cars! Race results and videos of the races will be posted online within a couple days. Many thanks to the Den Leaders and Den Parents who helped pull this off! Traditionally, Pinewood is the largest event of the year. We raced 30 scout cars, 2 sibling cars, and 3 adult cars this year.
